Hyperpure by Zomato is a B2B platform for kitchen supplies and an end-to-end restaurant supply chain solution, operating as a one-stop-shop for the HoReCa (Hotels, Restaurants & Caterers) industry. We provide a wide range of products - groceries, fruits and vegetables, poultry, meats and seafoods, gourmet and packaged foods, customised packaging and consumables, kitchen cookware, value-add ready-to-serve and ready-to-cook products.

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Category Manager to join our team in Ahmedabad. In this role, you will support the Category Manager in overseeing the Fruits & Vegetables category, ensuring that we meet our strategic objectives and deliver exceptional value to our clients.

Category Management: Assist in developing and implementing category strategies for fruits and vegetables to drive sales and profitability.

Supplier Relations: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and farmers to ensure a consistent and high-quality supply of products.

Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats within the category.

Product Selection: Collaborate with the Category Manager to select and source a diverse range of fruits and vegetables that meet our quality standards and customer needs.

Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstock situations while ensuring optimal product freshness.

Quality Assurance: Ensure that all products meet Hyperpure’s quality standards through regular inspections and supplier audits.

Sales Support: Work with the sales team to provide product information, promotional materials, and training to enhance product knowledge and drive sales.

Reporting: Prepare and analyze sales reports, market trends, and performance metrics to support strategic decision-making.

Profit & Loss management.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the fruits and vegetables domain, with a strong understanding of market dynamics, supplier management, and category management.

Education: Bachelor’s/ Post graduation degree in agriculture, or a related field is a plus.

Skills: Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with data analysis tools.
